Definition: The Quality Management System is a management system through which an organization is assessed and oriented towards quality. (SM SR EN ISO 9000:2016)..

Objective: The Quality Management System of the National Institute for Metrology tends to be “recognized as capable” to assure permanently the correct performance of the activities of research and maintenance of the National Measurement Standards Database, of undertaking, preserving and disseminating measurement units.

Utility: The implementation of a Quality Management System assures:

  • Accurate and timely calibrations;
  • Application of validated calibration procedures;
  • Exclusion of calibration errors;
  • Efficient use of resources;
  • Development of a corporate culture based on a motivating work environment, oriented towards results achievement and mutual respect.
